Detroit Dog Park
We are a group of Detroit-area dog lovers who are working hard to bring a dog park to the city of Detroit.
Who is Detroit Dog Park?
Board of Directors
Carly Mys, Chairwoman of the Board: Carly helps manage a residential high rise in downtown Detroit. She lives with two retrievers that ask her for a dog park every day.
Tony Dillof, Board of Directors, Legal Advisor: Tony is a professor at Wayne State University Law School. He and his trusty lab-mix, Jojo, are out every weekday picking up litter on the Dequindre Cut and on Belle Isle Sunday mornings.
Sarah Zagacki, Board of Directors, Art Director: Sarah is a freelance designer and art director for a media publishing company. She lives on the Detroit border with boyfriend Justin and quirky lab mix, Calvin, who loves being involved in everythingallthetimeforever.
Erin Kelly, Board of Directors, Park Designer: Erin is a landscape architect who presently lives and works in Detroit. She hopes her first dog in Michigan is actually a fox, who she has already named Coney.
Administration
Megha Satyanarayana, President: Megha is a professional writer who has worked in Detroit for about four years. She has a border collie and an Aussie that herd everything, including her. She is a board member.
Mary Lorene Carter, Secretary, Internet Fundraising: Mary is one of the principals of Loveland Technologies, an internet startup that deals with Detroit land use issues. She has a black lab/shepherd mix that goes everywhere with her, and is likely one of the most popular dogs in Detroit. She is a board member.
Jamie Grimaldi, Treasurer: Jamie is a CPA at Invest Detroit, a non-profit loan fund, and has lived in the downtown area for more than 2 years. She has two pitbulls who defy the stereotypes with wagging tails and infectious smiles. She is a board member.
Dana Green, Development: Dana is a certified project manager and solution engineer for a large Detroit-based software firm who has lived in Detroit for almost a year. She has two cute mutts: one very active German Shepherd/Golden mix and a feisty Chihuahua mix.
